Animal Control

The City of Adams is served by the Robertson County Animal Control, 2900 W. County Farm Road, Springfield, TN 37172, (615)384-5611.  The shelter is opened Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Animals are available for adoption, and the center offers low cost spay/neuter services. Complaints about neighbor’s pets, whether concerning neglect, running at large, or abuse, please call Law Enforcement at (615) 384-4911.

Elections

Elections in the City of Adams coincide with Robertson County Elections. The precinct is located at Jo Byrns Elementary School, 6399 Highway 41N, Cedar Hill, TN. Please check the county paper, Robertson County Times, for election dates and ballots.

Electricity

Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation provides electricity to the City of Adams. They have offices located in Springfield – 615) 384-5566 and in Clarksville – (931) 645-2481.

Garbage Pickup

The City of Adams has no city-wide garbage pickup. However, there is a dump in Cedar Hill with the following hours:
Sunday:  Closed
Monday:  1:00pm – 6:00pm
Tuesday:  6:00am – 10:30am
Wednesday:  Closed
Thursday:  1:00pm – 6:00pm
Friday:  1:00pm – 6:00pm
Saturday:  8:00am – 6:00pm

Hours:  Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm; Saturday 8:00am – 12:30pm
In county $54/ton in county, $64/ton out of county with a $5 minimum for 180 lbs. and under for all Solid Waste and Construction Type materials (weight is calculated on 20 lb. increments.) The landfill takes only cash or check.

Property Maintenance

Complaints on property not up to Title 13 of the Adams Municipal Code will be inspected by our public health officer.  Appeals may be made to the Adams Board of Commissioners.

Sewage System

The city of Adams does not have a sewage system at this time. Homes and businesses currently operate on septic system.
